The Second Allegory Series

In the line between language and illusion, my drawings and paintings suggest stories told. “We’re only able to say what, in a sense, can be said” (David LaSalle, 1987). These allegories are concerned with physical and moral realities in our world today. The space between modernity and medievalism is created through rural scenes, half-modeled objects, figures in contemporary dress, imaginary landscapes, creatures, and the use of perspective. The concepts of heaven and hell, appear not only as supernatural realities, but as situations that we create on earth.
